El Paso County expanding services for veterans

Three El Paso County agencies are taking efforts to make it easier for veterans to get the services they need.

The Veterans Service, The El Paso County Department of Human Services and The Pikes Peak Workforce Center have opened offices at the Mt. Carmel Center of Excellence, which is located at 530 Communications Circle in Colorado Springs.

Here are the hours of operation for the offices at the Mt. Carmel Center of Excellence:

* Veterans Service: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. (Hours will expand in June).

* DHS: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

* PPWFC: Tuesdays, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
