Sheriff: 2 Oklahomans in burning truck targeted for pot
Investigators believe that two men from Oklahoma in Colorado to buy marijuana to sell back home were robbed and killed last fall before their bodies were found inside a burning pickup.
The bodies of Zach Moore of Prague, Oklahoma, and Joshua Foster of Muskogee, Oklahoma were found Oct. 17 in a field in the Pawnee National Grassland in northern Colorado. At the time authorities thought the deaths were suspicious and on Monday the Weld County Sheriff’s Office announced that detectives think the men were killed before the fire and were targeted because of the pot.
It also said that three people have been arrested in the case so far.
Detectives say Foster had come to Colorado at least three other times in attempts to buy large amounts of pot.
