Conditions change quickly overnight in Teller County

Teller County residents went to bed Friday night with snow melting on streets and roads but woke Saturday to accumulations of at least 6 inches.

Heavy snowfall and wind combined to reduce visibility to less than a quarter of a mile in and around town.

However, there was little traffic during the early-morning hours, and authorities reported no crashes, road closures or other weather-related problems.

Teller County remained on a full callout of 18 plows Saturday. State plows regularly cleared snow from highways in the area.
