Police: man who reported being shot, wasn’t

The Colorado Springs Police Department says a man was rushed to the hospital after reporting that he was shot Friday, but doctors say they didn’t find any evidence of a gunshot wound.

Police say they think the man was assaulted at the Montecito Apartments in the 300 block of N. Murray Boulevard. The assault may have been the result of a personal robbery.

Police say the victim may have known his attacker.
