Trial date set for Colorado Springs police officer

police sergeant is heading to trial.. accused of using excessive force. steven biscaro is charged with third-degree assault.. and menacing.. in connection to an arrest made last december. he’s accused of kicking, punching and choking michael ferguson… who claims biscaro said he was going to kill him. ferguson was handcuffed at the time. biscaro says he put his hands around ferguson’s throat, so ferguson couldn’t spit on him. biscaro is a medal of valor recipient. his trial is set to begin in july.
