Teen test driving go-cart dies in Monument crash

The Monument Police Department says a teenager is dead after the go-cart he was driving collided with a pickup truck.

The crash happened at 8:50 p.m. on April 12, 2016.

Police say the 17-year-old from Denver drove to Monument to test drive the go-cart in response to an advertisement.

The teen was driving the go-cart in the 800 block of Beacon Lite Road when the crash happened.

The crash is under investigation.

The police department is asking anyone who saw the crash to call them at 719-481-3253.
