Great Dane that was rescued from starvation goes up for adoption

Update:

Pueblo Animal Services says Annabelle has been adopted.

Original Story:

Pueblo Animal Services says a Great Dane that was found emaciated in early march is available for adoption.

Annabelle has spent the last month and half recovering. She has gained about 25 pounds and is now at a healthy weight.

PAS says Annabelle, 5, is friendly but shy. She has a twisted foot as a result of improper growth of the growth plate, which means her weight will need to be monitored to ensure that she doesn’t become too heavy. PAS says Annabelle loves people, but does not like to interact with other dogs. She is house broken and very responsive to basic commands.

The other Great Dane that was rescued, Angus, was transferred to a rescue earlier this week. Angus has a problem with his eye and needs additional care.
