Are you storm-prepared?

It was warm and sunny across the region on Wednesday …but we know that’s about to change.

It’s that time of year when people break out the shorts and the T-shirts and locals know, never put away all your winter clothes.

We visited Ace Hardware in Colorado Springs today where they’re busy stocking things for spring but had to stop to bring back down the things for winter.

Darek Barnes, who owns the Ace Hardware on Circle Drive, said either way they’re prepared.

“We’re gonna have to take care of the customers, whether they’re coming in for their spring needs or their winter ones, we’ll be ready,” he said.

Charles Bowen of Colorado Springs has seen this before and isn’t really too stressed about it.

“I was never really a Boy Scout, you know, so I really don’t do anything different. But it really comes down to if you run out of food, you just end up eating TV dinners – that stuff in the back of the freezer that you never really get to,” he said.

It’s tough to get too excited about an incoming storm when the sun is out. We’ll see if that changes over the weekend.
