Driver who died after crashing into northwest Colorado Springs home identified

Colorado Springs Police have released the name of a man who died after crashing into a home near E. Rockrimmon Boulevard and E. Woodmen Road Tuesday.

He was John Holdren, 64. Police say Holdren died from blunt force injuries and that speed and alcohol contributed to crash.

The home is located in the 6800 block of Goldcrest Court.

A pair of grandparents and their two-year-old granddaughter were inside the town home when the car hit. No one inside the home was hurt.

The building was damaged, but is stable.
