Update: possible kidnapping apparently wasn’t

Colorado Springs Police say a woman who was seen on surveillance video being forced into an SUV has been identified and is safe.

Officers were dispatched to the 4000 Block of Austin Bluffs Parkway just after 2 p.m. Saturday. A caller told officers that a man had forced a woman into a gold Acura MDX and drove off.

Officers recovered video surveillance from the scene. In that footage, the man can be seen forcing the woman into a vehicle.

It’s not completely clear what was happening in the video, but police say the woman was not harmed.
