Military dads celebrate daughters at annual ASYMCA Ball

Military daughters got to spend a fairy tale evening with their fathers Saturday night.

The Armed Services YMCA ball seeks to give dads and daughters a magical night together.

Whether it be training, or often times a deployment, volunteers for the local ASYMCA say that many servicemen spend a lot of time away from home.

The annual Daddy-Daughter Ball, held this year at the Colorado Springs Double Tree by Hilton, gives families a chance to make up some of that time, and create long-lasting memories.

Mission accomplished! Dads and daughters spent the evening tearing up the dance floor in their formal wear, while also enjoying fancy cuisine.

All-in-all, the evening was a terrific celebration of the special bond that exists between fathers and their daughters.

Our very own Rachael Plath was also in attendance, acting as Master of Ceremonies for this special event.
