Springs police keep busy after two overnight shootings

Colorado Springs police kept busy overnight after responding to two shootings within the city.

Police first responded to a shooting near the J-Live Club by Astrozen and Academy at 1:40 this morning on the south side of town.

One person was found shot and taken to the hospital. There is no word on their current condition. Several vehicles were found with bullet holes in the parking lot of the club.

No arrests have been made.

Springs police were then called to another shooting at tt the 1500 hundred block of Keith Avenue.

That’s located near Platte and Powers on the east side of town.

Police said a woman was followed by two cars before she was shot in the shoulder. She was taken to the hospital where she is expected to recover.

Police have no further details on the shooting.
