Deadly crash closes northbound I-25 north of Monument

The Colorado State Patrol’s Castle Rock office says that northbound I-25 has reopened at Greenland following a deadly crash.

Greenland is in southern Douglas County just north of Monument Hill.

The crash involved two vehicles. State Patrol says a 51-year-old man was killed. He wasn’t wearing a seat belt.

No one else was hurt.

Troopers say distracted driving may have caused the crash. An investigation is underway.
