Two-legged dog fitted with custom wheelchair

Life is about to get a little easier for a tough-as-nails Chihuahua who hasn’t allowed her disability to slow her down.

Princess Roo was born without her two front legs. She was recently put up for adoption online, and that’s where the Misfit Dog Rescue team came in.

They adopted Princess Roo, making sure she gets the medical care she needs before moving on to another home.

Together with Saint Paws Animal Thrift Stores, they raised $900 to have Princess Roo fitted with a custom wheelchair.

“She’ll wear the vest they make for a couple of weeks, and get used to that. Then they’ll attach the wheels, and she’ll be off and running,” said Misfit Dog Rescue Director Susan Sterritt.

Volunteers say Princess Roo gets along just fine, but the new wheelchair will make her life a little easier.
