Snow falling in Woodland Park, elsewhere

Snow was developing across the Pikes Peak Region Friday afternoon.

The snow hit Monument First. With temperatures in the middle 30s across northern El Paso County Friday afternoon, the roads were wet. Slippery spots are expected to develop as the temperature drops and the snow continues to fall.

Snow arrived in Colorado Springs and Woodland Park during the 5 p.m. hour. The roads are likely to ice up more quickly in the city above the clouds, where temperatures have already dipped into the 20s.

Snow will spread across much of southern Colorado Friday night and Saturday with accumulations expected region-wide, including in Colorado Springs and Pueblo.
