Small businesses prepare for snow

The last storm missed Pueblo, but no one there is taking any chances with this next one.

Local snow removal companies are gearing up for the storm if it strikes the Steel City.

Above & Beyond Landscaping is switching back and forth between early spring landscaping and snow removal.

The owner of Above & Beyond says he has crews out working on sprinkler systems Friday, as well as guys putting the plows on their trucks.

“The only difficulty with that is having the trucks ready for either snow removal or having them ready for sprinkler systems and lawns and things like that,” said Sean Mcgill, a foreman with Above & Beyond.

The city also has its snow plan set, with salt and sand trucks ready to go if conditions get bad.
