Female voters on both sides angered by Trump-Cruz feud over wives

Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz directed a stern warning to Donald Trump Thursday in defense of his wife Heidi.

“Donald, you’re a sniveling coward and leave Heidi the hell alone,” Cruz said. “It’s not easy to tick me off. I don’t get angry often. but, you mess with my wife, you mess with my kids, that will do it every time.”

Trump accused Cruz and his campaign of using this ad to influence Mormon voters in a picture of Trump’s wife Melania posing naked years ago for GQ magazine.

However, the ad was produced by a “stop Trump” super PAC.

Democrat Rata Clarke of Colorado Springs has had enough of the leading Republican candidates.

“Both Cruz and Trump have no boundaries, Clarke said. “They just say whatever they want.”

On Twitter, Trump threatened to “spill the beans” about Cruz’s wife, though he didn’t expand on what that meant.

El Paso County GOP delegate Sonya Rose contends the bickering is making it tough to choose between her party’s top contenders.

“It’s a shame that these days candidates will stoop so low,” Rose said.

“It is not fruitful, it does not lend itself to success and it will bring one or the other down. It’s way safer for them to steer clear of that rhetoric.”
