Pueblo police need your help finding witness to deadly shooting

Police need your help to find a witness who may have information regarding the murder of a Pueblo man.

Police are looking for a man in a blue shirt who was standing outside Shorty’s Bar the night 26-year-old Devin Clark was shot and killed last month.

This comes after police released information Tuesday that they are looking for a white 2008 Lincoln MKZ with Colorado plate 880-ZGO that has a connection to the shooting.

The department released the two pieces of information asking for the public’s help after not revealing anything for almost a month.

Deputy Chief Troy Davenport said he’d rather have investigators take their time to show off any evidence rather than release information quickly where they could lose that piece of evidence in trial or get sued.

“You wouldn’t want to erroneously identify a vehicle or an individual and so we have to be very careful to vet the information that we do get,” he said.

Iron Horse Bar owner Doug Vigil said the shooting happened outside his bar. He said the shooting had an effect on his business, but he said the bigger deal is two of his friends were shot and injured and one man lost his life. All he wants is justice to be served.

“You want the guilty parties to be brought forward and you want them to be punished,” he said.
