Relatives describe angry domestic scene before woman’s death
Relatives of a Colorado woman who died in 2012 say her husband was very angry just hours before her body was found.
The Greeley Tribune reports that former Weld County correctional officer Tom Fallis is charged with killing his wife after their New Year’s Eve party. Ashley Fallis’ death was initially ruled a suicide, but new evidence led Tom Fallis to be charged with murder in 2014.
Several of Ashley Fallis’ relatives testified Thursday that her husband started yelling, cussing and slamming doors after other guests left the party. Ashley’s aunt says Tom Fallis was upset because he thought his wife was going to smoke pot.
Other party attendees testified Wednesday that the party atmosphere was good.
Defense attorneys have made the case that Ashley Fallis was depressed and self-destructive.
