Lion cub will make public debut this weekend
A lion cub that was born in January will go on display at the Pueblo Zoo this weekend.
The male cub hasn’t been named yet. He will make his public debut on Sunday, March 20, 2016.
If you’re a member of the zoo, you’ll be allowed in at 11 a.m. for a sneak preview. The zoo will open to the general public at noon.
This is the Pueblo Zoo’s first lion cub in ten years, and the zoo expects a lot of people will want to come see him.
After Sunday, cub and family will be on exhibit daily during normal zoo hours. The zoo is on winter hours through May 1, which means it’s open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays.
If you’re looking for something to do during spring break, half price day is Wednesday, March 23.
The cub’s name will be announced on March 31.
