3 taken to hospital after early morning disturbance, say police

Colorado Springs police say three men were taken to the hospital after a shooting in the 100 block of South Academy Boulevard around 1 a.m. Friday.

Investigators say the incident began as a disturbance between two groups. Witnesses told officers that four shots were fired.

The victims were found in a car and were treated at the scene before they were taken to the hospital.

Officers are looking for several suspects but have not released their description.

They say there is no threat to the public.

Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit are assisting with the investigation.
