Weather alerts issued for extreme fire danger today

Red flag warnings have been issued for most of eastern Colorado because of high fire danger Monday.

Red flag warnings are issued when warm temperatures, gusty winds and low humidity are expected.

Wildfires can start easily and grow explosively in these conditions.

Extreme caution is advised until the fire weather conditions improve.

A fire weather watch has been issued for Tuesday afternoon as well.
