Pueblo West man faces charges after marijuana grow, hash oil operation found in home

The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office says an illegal marijuana grow and hash oil operation was found in a home in Pueblo West.

The sheriff’s office says the illegal activity was found when a search warrant was executed at a home in the 1100 block of Knotty Pine Lane, which is near N. Purcell Boulevard and N. Platteville Boulevard.

According to investigators, a marijuana grow found inside the home was unlicensed and exceeded the number of plants allowed by state law. A butane hash oil production operation was also found.

The Colorado State Patrol Hazmat Unit was called in to assist sheriff’s office investigators with safely dismantling the hash oil operation, due to the possibility of an explosion.

Schautteet faces charges of cultivation of marijuana, extraction of marijuana concentrate and possession with intent to manufacture/distribute marijuana or marijuana concentrate. All three charges are felonies.
