Springs parents face charges after 2-year-old ingests marijuana edible
Two Colorado Springs parents are facing misdemeanor child abuse charges after their two-year-old child was hospitalized for consuming edible marijuana candy.
Investigators say the edible marijuana candy was left out while the parents watched a movie with a friend. When the three adults fell asleep, the child ate one of the candies.
The toddler was taken to the hospital, and was later released.
Police say the parents, Jesse Tamburo, 19, and Corinna Vanarnan, 21, were both cited on misdemeanor child abuse charges.
