Crews battling fire in Park Co.

A campfire that grew out of control has sparked a wildfire near the town of Guffey.

A resident tells NewsChannel 13 that the fire is burning off Nancy Arroyo Rd in the Cover Mountain Estates subdivision.

She also informs us that a reverse 9-1-1 call was used to notify local residents of the potential threat.

No word from officials on the size, or whether it’s threatening any structures.

The fire was reported Saturday afternoon.
