Sanders supporters busy ahead of Super Tuesday
Volunteers in Pueblo are working hard to get out the vote in Pueblo, and they’re hoping that Bernie Sanders has a strong showing in the “Home of Heroes”.
With Hillary Clinton’s decisive win in Saturday’s South Carolina primary, the Vermont Senator has been focusing his efforts states that will be voting for “Super Tuesday” (March 1 st ).
Volunteers for the Sanders campaign have been busy in Pueblo. On Saturday they met at the IBEW union headquarters to ramp up this weekend’s final push for voters.
Sanders supporters will be knocking on doors and handing out campaign literature through Sunday and beyond.
Asked why she was supporting Bernie, campaign volunteer Beverly Shelton told NewsChannel 13, “I’m supporting Bernie because Bernie is supporting the people that are out there working. He stands up with us… [He’s] just doing what he can to support the workers.”
Although he has yet to visit the Steel City, supporters will have an opportunity to attend an event that is relatively close by.
Sanders will make a campaign stop in Fort Collins on Sunday, at CSU’s Moby arena. Doors open at 7:00pm, and the event is free and open to the general public.
