Springs police say fugitive wanted on nine warrants

The Colorado Springs Police Department is looking for a man who it says has a history of jumping over hotel and restaurant counters to steal money from cash drawers.

Alex Sermeno is wanted on nine arrest warrants.

Police say that most recently, Sermeno is accused of distracting employees at Crosslands Economy Studio, 3490 Afternoon Circle, and then stealing from the cash drawer. The crime happened on February 24.

Police say that in previous instances, Sermeno has distracted employees by flooding lobby bathrooms.
