Beaver Creek Fire contained

The Penrose Fire Department says a fire that is burning in a creek bed in Penrose is contained at two acres.

The fire is burning in the 700 block of Valley Drive. Valley Drive and Olsen Road are closed.

No buildings are threatened.

The fire department says the fire is burning in an area that is difficult to access because of large dead trees that have fallen.

Firefighters will monitor the fire throughout the night and will not leave until the fire is out.
