Trump succeeds with Hispanic voters in Nevada, can he do the same in Colorado?

One day after winning Nevada by nearly 20 points, Donald Trump has scored his first congressional endorsements from GOP Congressmen Duncan Hunter of California and Chris Collins of New York.

One key to Trump’s landslide victory Tuesday night, his apparent success with GOP Hispanic voters.

“You know what I’m really happy about because I’ve been saying it for a longtime, 46 percent with the Hispanics, number one with Hispanics,” Trump said in his victory speech.

One Latino in Colorado Springs believes Trump has spewed hateful rhetoric for months.

“Even though I’m an Iraq War vet, I am native of Colorado Springs, I’m more American than many Americans,” Don Martinez said. “I’m labeled by many in the community as an illegal immigrant. That’s what Donald Trump is doing, he’s lumping us all into a class.”

Super Tuesday is six days away. Voters must be a registered Republican or Democrat to caucus in Colorado.
