Arrest made in Caon City bank robbery

The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office says a man from Oklahoma is suspected of robbing a bank in Caon City.

Thomas Michael Spuehler is being held at the Fremont County Jail on a no bond hold. He faces a robbery charge.

The Wells Fargo branch in the 3000 block of E. Main Street was robbed at 9:05 a.m. Monday (2/22/16). The robber handed the teller a note demanding money. Once he had the cash, he left on foot.

The sheriff’s office says Spuehler was arrested at a nearby tire store shortly after the robbery was reported.
