Drugs, guns found in car during Pueblo traffic stop

Police say a routine traffic stop turned into something more after the driver tried to walk away from his vehicle

Police pulled over Joseph Kingsbury, 38, at 10:25 p.m. on February 15. The traffic stop happened at E. 1st Street and S. Hudson Avenue.

Police say they found drugs and counterfeit money on Kingsbury. They say that after obtaining a search warrant, they found $13,000 worth of meth, heroin, cocaine and prescription pills in his vehicle. Two handguns were also found, one which had been reported stolen.

Kingsbury was arrested and faces numerous drugs and weapons related charges.
