I-70 near Glenwood Springs begins partial reopening Sunday
A pilot car will lead traffic through Glenwood Canyon on I-70 starting Sunday night, but delays will continue.
The Colorado Department of Transportation said a pilot car will being leading one lane of traffic through Glenwood Canyon starting Sunday at 6 p.m., but delays could last one hour or more.
Glenwood Canyon will then fully close from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. starting Monday morning, CDOT said. A pilot car will lead traffic from 4 p.m. to 9 a.m.
So far, CDOT said crews removed 400 tons of rock after a massive rock slide last week shut down I-70 near Glenwood Springs, about 150 miles west of Denver.
