Teen accused of firing shot into Monument home
The Monument Police Department says a 17-year-old is facing multiple charges following a string of incidents that happened on Thursday
The teen is accused of firing a gun into the front window of a home in the 500 block of Trumbull Lane and stealing a gun and an iPad from a home in the 600 block of Trumbull lane.
Police say the teen, whose name was not released, was also seen in the area of a garage fire that happened on nearby McShane Place. The cause of the fire is under investigation and police have not definitively linked the teen to the fire.
The teen was taken to Spring Creek Youth Services Center where he is currently facing charges of criminal mischief, second degree burglary, illegal discharge of a firearm, theft, unlawfully carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a handgun by juveniles and reckless endangerment.
