Senator Bennet visits Pueblo Families
With the high rate of early childhood education, in some cases it can cost as much as a college education.
That’s why Senator Michael Bennet sat down with families in Pueblo Friday to discuss his tax plan to help families who struggle to pay for day care for their children.
Parents of children at Kinderkirk Day Care told Sen. Bennet about their struggles whether it was trusting where toleave their kids, or deciding which bill to pay because of the cost.
“The events like this give me the opportunity to carry the voices of Coloradoans to the floor of the United States Senate and say no, actually here’s what’s going on in their lives,”said Bennet.
Bennet is pushing for a bill that would increase tax credits to offset the cost of child care for working families.
