‘Flashbang’ found at Prospect Lake
Colorado Springs police are looking into how a distraction device or flashbang ended up at Prospect Lake.
A concerned citizen turn it into police Friday afternoon at 2:00. The investigating officer recognized it and turned it over to Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) for destruction.
On-duty Lt. Dave Gilman couldn’t say if the device was live, only that it was safe, meaning the pin was likely pulled.
“I’m not sure where somebody would have gotten a hold of something like this,” said Gilman.
