El Paso County crews help with fire in Lincoln County

Several crews from El Paso County are helping with a fire in Lincoln County Thursday night.

It started around 6 p.m. in Punkin Center off of Highway 94, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office the fire may have been started by a driver throwing a lit cigarette out of their vehicle.

Crews from El Paso County Wildland Fire, Falcon Fire and others are helping. The fire is fully contained.
