COS police investigate 2 auto-pedestrian accidents

There were two accidents involving pedestrians Friday night, according to Colorado Springs Police Lt. Dave Gilman.

The first happened at Fountain and Chelton at 6:44 p.m. The major accident unit was called to the scene. We know one person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Police believe the pedestrian was drunk and jaywalking.

The second accident happened at East Saint Elmo and Nevada at 7:15 p.m. Alcohol use is also suspected on the part of the pedestrian. The driver will not be charged. The pedestrian broke his leg.
