Two wanted fugitives arrested
UPDATE: Two of three missing Colorado fugitives who skipped parole, prompting a nationwide search, have been apprehended.
According to the Colorado Department of Corrections Fugitive Apprehension Unit (FAU), 46-year-old William Wasikowski and31-year-old Wesley Jones were both arrested Saturday morning.
Wasikowski was taken into custody at about 9:00 am in the area of 1400 Harrison Rd in Colorado Springs.
Jones was taken into custody two hours later in the area of Hampton Ave. and Galapago Rd. in Englewood. Both men were arrested without incident.
The fugitives were arrested on their nationwide warrants and may be facing additional charges.
Authorities are still asking the public to be on the lookout for 36-year-old Dennis Simonton, a felon with known ties to the 211 Crew, a prison gang with a violent history.
Simonton should be considered armed and dangerous. Do not attempt to contact orapprehend this individual.
