Wanted couple arrested in Pueblo sting

The Pueblo Police Department says an operation to track down a man who was wanted for several crimes ended with two arrests.

Sampson Griego, 25, was wanted on warrants for identity theft and contempt of court.

Detectives found Griego in a car with his girlfriend in the 1600 block of Moore Avenue on the city’s south side.

Griego and his girlfriend, Rachelle Martinez, 27, were both arrested. Police say Martinez was also wanted.

Police say Griego had multiple stolen credit and identification cards with him.

An apartment was searched following the arrests, during which police say they found evidence linking Griego to additional crimes.
