Pueblo Zoo needs help naming cub

The lion cub that was born at the Pueblo Zoo is still nameless and the zoo needs your help.

The zoo will soon announce a naming competition for the new cub, so start thinking of your best lion names.

The cub was born a month ago and is already nine pounds.

The zoo is keeping the cub with it’s mother, but away from the father to make sure they can bond.

“We’re just so proud and so excited and he’s doing so well, and we’re so proud of mom cause it’s her first time. We have babies, we’re also expecting some other babies this spring, so keep your eyes out for that,” said Abbie Krause, the executive director at the Pueblo Zoo.

The zoo is expecting to debut the cub in April.
