Cosby cases prompt Colorado bill extending time for charges

A Colorado House committee has approved a bill prompted by claims against Bill Cosby that would double a 10-year statute of limitations on sexual assault cases.

Los Angeles attorney Gloria Allred and two Colorado women who claim Cosby assaulted them decades ago testified Thursday that the bill would give traumatized victims more time to come forward.

Cosby has consistently denied sexual abuse allegations made by dozens of women around the country.

The House Judiciary Committee sent the bill to the full House for consideration.
