State capitol evacuated because of bomb threat

The Colorado State Capitol in Denver was evacuated Tuesday evening because of a bomb threat.

Authorities received the threat by phone at around 4 p.m. They do not believe the threat is credible, but the building is being searched as a precaution.

A text from state patrol says that people who work at the capitol should check their area for suspicious items and then evacuate.

The capitol is closed for the rest of the day and all Senate Legislative committees have been cancelled.
