Former Broncos player describes excitement of winning Super Bowl
A former Broncos player showcased his ring from Super Bowl XXXIII and spoke of the memories of winning a championship at his business Monday .
Justin Armour was a wide receiver for the Broncos in 1999 when the team beat the Atlanta Falcons. He now owns Crystal Park Cantina in Manitou Springs.
“When it’s over and you realize you’ll be a Super Bowl winner forever. It’s a great feeling,” Armour said.
He said he only takes his ring out occasionally, but it’s fun to relive the memories.
“Certainly feel pride and joy. It also reminds me of some of the biggest challenges in my life,” said Armour.
Broncos fans will congratulate their team during a parade through the streets Denver on Tuesday .
Armour remembers the parade and the fun and excitement in the weeks after the big win.
“That was a cool experience because you have never seen that many people assembled and cheering for you,” said Armour.
The entertainment will start at Civic Center Park in Denver at 10 a.m. Tuesday . The parade starts at 12 p.m. at 17th and Wynkoop streets. It will end at Civic Center Park with a rally at 1 p.m.
