Abducted girl ejected from SUV during southern Colorado crash

New Mexico authorities say a 2-year-old girl who was abducted in Albuquerque has been airlifted to a Denver hospital after being ejected during a rollover crash following a police pursuit in Colorado of an SUV driven by her father.

The state patrol says Denise suffered moderate injuries and was airlifted to Children’s Hospital.

KRTN Radio in Raton, N.M. told KOAT-TV that the crash happened near Walsenburg.

Police say Ramiro Tirado took his daughter from her mother Monday evening. New Mexico State Police issued an Amber Alert for her Tuesday morning.

Ramiro Tirado’s was taken to a Pueblo hospital with moderate injuries, KOAT reported. Albuquerque police officer Tanner Tixier said detectives are filing paperwork to have him extradited to New Mexico.
