Chipotle restaurants close for health meeting

KRDO

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Customers had to nix Chipotle from their potential lunch choices on Monday.

All Chipotle restaurant locations, including right here in Southern Colorado, closed for four hours.

The meetings come after a streak of scares, including an e. coli and the norovirus outbreak last year.

NewsChannel 13 talked with some hungry people who say they were looking forward to getting a burrito while on their lunch break.

"I'm distraught right now," said Sean Derby.

They reopened at 3 p.m. after at least 50,000 employees attended mandatory food safety meetings.
