Broncos fans rock the Home of Heroes after team’s championship

Broncos fans in Pueblo are rocking the Home of Heroes Sunday night for the team’s Super Bowl victory.

Drivers were blaring their horns in Bessemer to show how proud they are of the Broncos. People were on the sidewalks wearing jerseys and celebrating with the drivers.

“It’s unbelievable. This is crazy. The last time the Broncos won, I was seven years old, I’m 24 now. This is unbelievable. I can’t believe it. I was a baby the last time this happened,” Broncos fan Jeremy Chavez said.

People also filled bars and restaurants in the city to cheer on the Broncos.

The Broncos Firehouse near Pueblo Boulevard had more than 100 people turn the clubhouse into an electric atmosphere.

The crowd turned rowdy when C.J. Anderson scored a 1-yard touchdown for the Broncos’ final score. The sound from the people at the firehouse was deafening when they cheered at the end of the game.

Broncos fan Kevin Nunn said the team winning the Super Bowl is a dream come true.

“This is the greatest feeling around. I mean we’re so proud of the Broncos. We were waiting for this since the last Super Bowl. They made it. They played great all year. It was just a perfect awesome game,” he said.

Nunn and his wife own the Broncos Firehouse. It was originally a Pueblo Fire Station.
