Local man with same name as Broncos player hosts special Super Bowl party

Hundreds packed Harmony Bowl on Sunday for a special Super Bowl party.

Shane Ray, a Colorado Springs realtor, reserved the facility to host Broncos fans.

“My brother-in-law and sister-in-law bought the place about three months ago,” explained Ray.

Ray says he used to watch Broncos linebacker, Shane Ray, when he played for Missouri and thought it was ironic when Ray was drafted by the Broncos.

He said it was only fitting that he threw a party when Denver made it to the big game.

The celebration lasted several hours and included bowling competitions, a photo booth, and music.

Ray says he not only shares the same first and last name as the Broncos player; he also has the same middle name, “Michael.”
