Stabbing in Colorado Springs, police searching for attacker

Colorado Springs police officers are responding to a stabbing in the 1400 block of S. Chelton Road.

The stabbing happened at the Verde Meadows Apartment Complex.

A police lieutenant told KRDO NewsChannel 13 one person was stabbed and has been taken to the hospital. The extent of his injuries is unknown.

The suspect ran off, police believe heading northwest away from the complex.

K-9 and other officers are in the area searching for the suspect now.
