Report links Super Bowl and flu
The Super Bowl is only three days away and with it comes the increased threat of flu.
A recent study has found that a rise in cases of the flu may occur in areas that have an NFL team that advances to the Super Bowl.
“Flu can be spread person to person or it can actually be on surface and be picked up, so like if you were eating chips and you doubled dip,” said Leanne Megnin, an infection prevention specialist at St. Mary Corwin Medical Center.
Megnin says the best way to protect yourself from the flu virus is washing your hands and covering your mouth when you cough.
