Rockies’ Dickerson Traded to Tampa

Another promising young talent in the Colorado Rockies organization is headed out of town.

Left Fielder Corey Dickerson was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays Thursday for pitching help and minor league prospects.

The Rockies sent Dickerson and Third Baseman Kevin Padlo to the Rays for left-handed pitcher Jake McGee and right-handed pitcher German Marquez.

Left-handed pitcher Christian Friedrich was designated for assignment as part of the move.

Dickerson led the team with 24 home runs in 2014.
